Walker Cole International is searching for a Director of Business Development to join an industry leading Cell & Gene Therapy Contract Services company head quartered London, England. As the Director of Business Development, you will lead a team to nurture existing business and identify new, global prospects.

Your responsibilities as the Director of Business Development will be:


  • Lead global business development activities for key target markets of biopharmaceutical, cell therapy and gene therapy.
  • As the Director of Business Development, you will lead a large group of business developers and BD Managers taking a lead on strategy and people development.
  • Full budget responsibility for the delivery of business development targets.
  • Lead mid and long-term strategy across the organisation for existing and future services.

The successful candidate:


  • Degree, Masters or PhD
  • Industry experience in Biopharmaceutical, Biologics, Cell Therapy or Gene Therapy markets.
  • Work experience in Business Development expertise in selling contract manufacturing or contract research services.
  • Previous experience as a senior manager or director leading business development / commercial teams is essential.
