Qualification/ Experience

Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, DraftSight) for product development, including sheet metal and FEA suites.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel.
Previous industrial experience in a manufacturing environment with batch and bespoke products.

Roles and Responsibilities

Ensure all products meet regulatory standards and stay informed about any changes affecting vehicle construction and service.
Assist Sales Managers in evaluating the feasibility of prospective business, aligning with production capabilities.
Create and improve the design of components, assemblies, and bodywork to enhance quality, efficiency, and profitability.
Develop bespoke solutions in partnership with customers, turning their requirements into finished vehicles.
Provide the purchasing department with the necessary information to procure the right parts at the correct specifications.
Work with new and existing suppliers on product integration, troubleshooting, and seeking innovative solutions.
Manage the vehicle approval process, keeping up with current vehicle legislation to minimise the company's exposure to changing requirements.
