About the Company

A well-regarded UK manufacturer of processing equipment for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and food sectors is looking for a skilled Design Engineer. The role involves supporting the continued development and refinement of a successful product portfolio.



About the Role

The Design Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Design components and assemblies for filling, capping, and inspection systems.
  • Produce detailed engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure design feasibility.
  • Take part in product testing and iterative improvement.
  • Assist with R&D and value-engineering projects.


Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally for precision equipment.


Required Skills

  • CAD proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Good problem-solving abilities and design-for-manufacture understanding.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or food sectors is a plus.


Pay range and compensation package

  • Attractive salary of £42,000- £45,000.
