Are you a skilled Biomedical Scientist with a passion for client interaction and education? An innovative digital pathology lab is looking for a dynamic professional to join their team in a unique hybrid role combining specialist laboratory duties with client-facing support.


About the Role:

As a key member of the laboratory and customer support teams, you will perform core histology lab tasks while also serving as the main liaison for clinical partners. You’ll ensure high-quality sample processing and flawless workflow within the lab, while supporting client onboarding, training, and troubleshooting related to diagnostic services and digital platforms.


Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute laboratory operations adhering to SOPs and quality standards, ensuring timely and accurate sample handling
  • Monitor and maintain internal and external quality controls, participate in audits, and support continuous improvement
  • Serve as the first point of contact for new and existing clients—conducting training sessions, visits, and providing ongoing support
  • Manage client queries efficiently via phone and email, troubleshoot logistics or system issues, and escalate when necessary
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams including Pathologists, IT, Quality, and Commercial colleagues
  • Represent the lab during client meetings and promotional events, fostering strong partnerships and facilitating service uptake


What You Bring:

  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist, preferably with IBMS Specialist Portfolio or equivalent in Cellular Pathology
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-registration experience in histopathology or digital pathology workflows
  • Strong understanding of histological processes, sample logistics, and digital LIMS platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in delivering training and client presentations
  • Ability to balance laboratory duties with client-facing responsibilities, including occasional travel
