We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to take full ownership of standard costing across our site. This role involves partnering closely with Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance to bring clarity to product costing, stock values, and material usage. The successful candidate will analise material price movements versus volume impacts, identify trends, and help shape better commercial decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring true cost drivers and performance are understood.

As an enabler to support value creation at the gross margin level, the Cost Accountant will lead annual business budget standard setting across full absorption costing, including labour, material, and overhead. Driving stakeholder accountability and understanding is a key aspect of this role.

Qualifications

Ideal Experience

  • Qualified of appropriate Accountancy board (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Advanced IT skills, particularly Excel and SharePoint.
  • An ability to work to a precise level of detail in a high-pressure environment.
  • Working as part of a team.
  • Time management skills with a clear ability to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing finance team is essential
