Air Liquide has been present in the United Kingdom since 2004. We offer gas, equipment and services to a variety of sectors: from oil and gas (offshore), automotive, metal fabrication through to chemical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, food and beverage industries and healthcare.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Compressed Gas Maintenance and Operations Lead oversees safe operation of UK hydrogen facilities and compressed gas supply chains, ensuring safe production and distribution. Accountable for end-to-end supply chain safety (manufacturing, stock, planning, crisis, vendors). Balances supply/demand, maintains customer service during shortfalls, and controls asset maintenance for optimisation.

  • Ensure safe Runcorn operations and minimise safety risks.

  • Manage facility maintenance compliance and adhere to safety requirements.

  • Update risk assessments/SOPs.

  • Facilitate and ensure compliant trailer fleet maintenance and documentation.

  • Manage customer expectations through teams.

  • Contribute to sales and operational execution, ensuring product quality.

  • Drive customer satisfaction improvements and lead root cause analysis.

  • Collaborate on technical solutions and ensure supply continuity.

  • Optimise trailer filling and support commercial teams.

  • Provide input on performance metrics and control operational costs.

  • Support capacity planning and define investment requirements.

  • Ensure cost-effective fleet maintenance.

    Are you a MATCH?

    The ideal person for this role will have strong experience working in a gas or high hazard manufacturing environment.

    You will also need:

  • Experience in a similar role- ideally with experience in pressure equipment maintenance or have a technical background

  • Strong safety focus

  • ISO quality plan and regulated industries experience

  • Lean/continuous improvement knowledge

  • Vendor management experience

  • CMMS experience

  • Basic gas property understanding

  • Prioritising safety

  • Strong communication

  • Strategic delivery

  • Coaching ability

  • Leadership and motivation

  • Enthusiasm

  • Strong organisation

  • Full UK driving licence
