Location: UK - London
IQVIA is seeking a Consultant, Primary Intelligence to join its UK-based team.
About the Team The Primary Intelligence team in the UK collaborates with other divisions within Real World Evidence and Commercial Solutions. The team designs and executes consulting projects utilizing primary market research to support clients' decision-making across various therapeutic areas and markets. Projects include ad-hoc and syndicated research, which can be standalone or part of broader consulting engagements.
The team employs proprietary and standard market research methodologies to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, generating insights for commercial questions across the product life-cycle. Most fieldwork is managed internally, leveraging IQVIA’s healthcare provider panels.
Role Summary Consultants manage multiple client projects, contributing to the design, analysis, and finalization of research materials. They may also oversee daily project management tasks under senior supervision.
Working closely with colleagues and clients, Consultants help determine appropriate research approaches to meet project goals within deadlines and quality standards.
They provide high-quality, timely input, with project complexity ranging from basic analysis to developing complex solutions.
Travel is limited and primarily within the UK, though international travel may occasionally be required for project kick-offs or presentations.
Key Responsibilities Assist in reviewing client requirements and developing proposals
Design questionnaires and discussion guides for market research
Coordinate research studies with internal teams and partners
Manage project milestones and communicate progress to clients
Create report templates and define data tabulations
Review findings from offshore teams and analyze trends
Develop and present final reports and support dashboard design
Conduct ad hoc data analysis to support project follow-up
Enhance knowledge of consulting methodologies and the pharmaceutical market
Engagement responsibilities are assigned by Senior Consultants or Managers
Skills, Education, and Experience Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in sciences, medicine, mathematics, economics, or business
3+ years of healthcare or pharmaceutical market research experience
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Motivated, proactive, and interested in consulting and healthcare
Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Eligibility to work in the UK/EU without sponsorship
Effective time management skills
Beneficial skills include language proficiency, though not essential.
