Job Description Our goal is to establish BPI as a trusted partner in the bioprocess community by building and nurturing strong relationships with buy-side stakeholders (pharma and biotech).
Working closely with our campaign marketing teams, you’ll help create and deliver strategies to bring the right people to our events. Together with our content and publishing teams, you’ll also play a key role in growing the life science community, fostering engagement, and uncovering new opportunities to drive audience-led revenue.
SCOPE OF INFLUENCE
External Client Group: Pharma and Biotech profiles aligned with target audience and associations
Internal Client Group: Conference Producers, Campaign Marketing, Delegate Sales, Business Development and Delivery Team
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Audience Curation - Research
Identify attendee profiles required to improve the quality of our audiences, in collaboration with content, campaign and sales teams, whilst also protecting paying delegate revenue
Work as part of a dedicated community team to research and identify prospects for targeted audience build
Aggregate and compile lists of potential attendees from your own research (AI enabled, LinkedIn, Competitor agendas) and referrals from internal and external (speakers, sponsor companies, associations) networks
Audience Curation - Acquisition
Contact selected individuals by email and by telephone to discuss attendance and securing their event participation including various structured networking / social formats
Register community members/contacts/clients on internal databases and maintain good records
Ensure timely correspondence with registered guests throughout the guesting campaign to deliver excellent Cx and promote high show rates
Prospect full attendee list to secure buy-side participation for sponsored hosted products (e.g. one-to-one meetings, site visits, hosted discussions and dinners)
Audience Curation - Delivery
Attend events as required
Fulfill audience delivery for sell-side hosted products
Manage relationships with key industry, association, and sponsorship representatives – through onsite and face-to-face meetings. Cultivate relationships with stakeholders and partnerships for new opportunities
Audience: Reporting and Analytics
Provide weekly reporting on confirmed guests against targets
Monitor guest uptake and invite output to ensure required job titles targets are being met
Provide sales team with timely reporting on attendance for client events
Conduct post-event analysis including best source types and show rates
Qualifications Work experience in a community, events, or other relevant role is highly beneficial for this role.
An interest in the Life Science Industry is also desirable.
Additionally, the skills we will ask you to evidence are:
Proficiency with MS Office
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management
Ability to network with senior industry figures
A customer-centric outlook
Research skills using several information sources
Time management with an ability to multi-task and attention to detail
Ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines and adapt to last-minute adjustments
Enthusiasm and a collaborative mindset
Desire to think creatively, innovate and shape a product around customer needs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
