We are looking for a Commissioning Manager who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.

Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for a Commissioning Manager to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.

Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.

The Commissioning Manager, will be responsible for:

  • Act as Commissioning (CX) Manager lead and manage of the commissioning process

  • Overseeing the Pre-Construction Phase and the Testing and Commissioning Phase.

  • Produce design review reports highlighting any additional requirement to assist commissioning on site.

  • Develop the Commissioning Plan and Commissioning Strategy documentation.

  • Management of direct reports (commissioning and testing personnel on site).

  • Management of the Commissioning Tagging process and procedures.

  • Reporting Progress on all Commissioning activities both internally and externally.

  • Report to the Project Manager regarding any delays or issues from the commissioning specialists.

  • Management of all day to day on site commissioning operations.

  • Review and approval of Commissioning and Testing RAMS from specialist contractors.

  • Conduct quality control inspections on project sites during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages.

  • Input into O&M documentation from outset of project through to practical completion, including liaison with office O&M team to ensure documents are issued as per requirements in a timely and presentable manner.

  • Assist Project Engineers with compiling and populating Handover packs and other relevant QA/QC documents including inspections.

    To be successful for this Commissioning Manager role you must have:

  • Relevant degree level qualification in an Engineering Qualification (ONC, HND or Degree Level in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services.

  • Proven background in Commissioning Management in mechanical and/or electrical infrastructure, as well as project experience in live critical working environments. (data centres, pharmaceutical, laboratories, heavy industrial, etc.)

  • Knowledge of the construction and engineering industry's statutory requirements, methods, and processes.

  • CSCS card holder relevant to role.

  • IOSH or SMSTS CITB site management safety training scheme course.

  • First aid at work.

  • Full UK Driving licence holder.

  • Willingness to travel or stay away on short term basis dependent on needs of project.

  • Client facing and client management experience.
