Clinical Technologist/Radiographer - Nuclear Medicine We are seeking a qualified Band 6 Clinical Technologist/Radiographer to join Belfast Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work within Nuclear Medicine where you will be performing and assisting with a broad range of activities associated with the use of radioactive substances in the investigation & treatment of patients. Applicants must have experience within the radiotherapy setting, be adaptable to support service needs and able to communicate effectively with all members of the team. The performance of radionuclide imaging and organ uptake measurements (including non-routine and complex investigations), and the quantitative analysis of image data. The performance of in-vitro studies including GFR tests and the quantitative analysis of the data. The preparation of data for clinical reporting. The supervision and training of junior technologist staff. The dispensing, assay and administration of radiopharmaceuticals including diagnostic and therapy doses. Evidence of continuing professional development. The user-maintenance of nucleonic equipment for radionuclide imaging and organ uptake measurements, and the acquisition of data for the calibration of such equipment. Essential Criteria: Diploma of the College of Radiographers or a degree in Physics, Radiography, Applied Physics or other appropriate subject AND 3 years relevant experience in Healthcare Science (which must include Nuclear Medicine) Eligibility for membership pf the registers of clinical technologists OR HCPC registered as a diagnostic radiographer Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
