Meridian Business Support is currently recruiting for a Clinical Lead for a National Private Healthcare Provider for a luxury home based in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.

As a Clinical Lead, you will work closely with our nurses and carers to maintain the highest standards of clinical care and governance in our homes. Supported by our management team, you will ensure our residents receive the best care, meet their needs through excellent nursing and clinical care, and actively contribute to all clinical delivery.

About the role:

This is a role where you will use your professional judgement to make clinical decisions, manage projects and evolve care levels to make sure every residents’ needs are met.
You will provide effective leadership on all issues relating to clinical excellence including clinical training and competencies
Have a good knowledge of CQC guidelines and ensure that continued CQC compliance is maintained
To be part of the on-call service, on a rota basis, to assist with clinically related matters, rota cover and any other duties that will be part of the service we currently provide out of office hours
To complete floor shifts in order to meet the needs of the Home
Work collaboratively with clients, family, other professionals and interested parties to enhance the quality of care delivered and offer support to our residents, managers and staff as needed
Ensure that the team is updated with the latest clinical developments by providing specialist training and mentoring that will engage and inspire them.
Maintain confidentiality, discretion and conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times
Attend meetings and assessments as required
Effectively manage your own workload, prioritising tasks and maintaining excellent written and verbal communication and record keeping
Maintain knowledge of the residents’ care plans
Essential skill and qualifications for this role:

Strong clinical skillset and confidence to lead the nursing team.
Prior management experience, or experience of leading a small team.
Ability to make clinical decisions and remain calm under pressure.
A passion for promoting best nursing practice and able to train, support and mentor others.
A desire to encourage positive working relationships within the team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
A good working knowledge of audits, safeguarding, DOLS, CQC and compliance.
