As a Category Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and executing global procurement strategies that align with Sensient’s long-term business objectives. You will oversee carrier management, maintain category spend for all transportation modes and warehouse services for the Flavors and Colors Groups across UK, EU, Africa and Middle East Market.
What you’ll do:
Research and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness through the sourcing process
Manage procurement of transport and warehouse services, oversee contracts with SLAs, maintain supplier KPIs
Conduct and manage procurement process, including sourcing, RFP bid packages, and awarding business
Research market trends to stay updated with industry regulations and participate actively in developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures to streamline the purchasing process
Work closely with logistics, operations, supply chain, finance to define service needs and ensure carrier compliance and invoice audit accuracy
Conduct quarterly carrier reviews, participate in cost negotiations, and provide monthly dashboards and BI
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; or CSPM or CPM
Proficiency in MS Office and related TMS Transportation software
A strong background in procurement, logistics, and supply chain operations and experience with importation and exportation throughout the global market including IncoTerms
Willingness to travel
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
