Role - Bi-Modal Business Analyst, Supply Chain

Duration - 12 month (+ possible extension)

Location - Macclesfield, UK (Hybrid working)

IR35 Status - Outside

As Business Analyst, you will support the design and deployment of differentiated supply chain operating models that combine high automation with agile, responsive capabilities. You will work across planning, digital enablement, and transformation initiatives to enable execution and efficiency in AstraZeneca’s supply chain. This role requires a need for flexibility as you lead or support work packages across initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


Support Design and Deployment of Streamlined Ways of Working across Demand and Supply Planning

  • Collaborate with Supply & Demand Planning along with Digital teams to support or lead work packages to deliver a streamlined way of working.
  • Contribute to design of work packages towards the delivery of a streamlined way of working.
  • Execute the work package plan in partnership with the business.
  • Create method to ensure adoption of this streamlined approach when handed over to BAU.


Drive Process Efficiency, Automation and Decision Making, leveraging OMP.

  • Analyse data and planning processes to identify inefficiencies or opportunities to reduce manual work through planning automation and data-driven decision support tools, capitalizing on the OMP investment.


Change & Engagement

  • Engage stakeholders to facilitate and support change readiness and adoption.
  • Assist in developing communication materials, dashboards, and reports that provide visibility to progress and impact.
  • Ensure that change proposals are aligned with broader business goals and strategic ambition.


Risk Reduction

  • Identify potential issues early, whether operational, financial, or technical.
  • Implement mitigation strategies proactively.


Experience & Skills


Essential:

  • Strong Business Analyst experience in pharma/ supply chain
  • Experience in global supply chain, preferably in planning, transformation, or systems implementation roles. Experience in Streamline / simplification progammmes / projects experience advantageous
  • Working knowledge of advanced planning systems (OMP or similar), particularly adoption of the system.
  • Exposure to digital tools, automation, or supply chain segmentation concepts.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across functions and geographies.
  • Strong Stakeholder communication skills at all levels
  • Zero defect mindset, analytical, data-driven; able to identify insights and translate them into actions to close gaps.


Desirable:

  • Experience working in a matrixed or project-based transformation environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile ways of working or Lean process improvement
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry or regulated supply chains.
