This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, commercially aware individual to provide senior level consultancy services and leadership within a highly regarded, privately owned and successful process engineering design company. Headquartered near Winchester, this award-winning company, who provide contract engineering, operational and regulatory compliance solutions to pharma, chemical and emerging technology customers throughout the UK and Europe, enjoys a long-standing and enviable market reputation. Founded in 1997, the company has enjoyed consistent growth throughout its chosen markets by providing a comprehensive range of expertise and experience across a variety of engineering and operational disciplines. With a strong commercial ethos of delivering best practice work for its clients, the company is continuing to develop and now requires additional expertise to support this growth.
Reporting to the Technology Director, the role of senior consultant is one of considerable seniority, with the incumbent taking complete technical and managerial responsibility for key projects with associated responsibility for the development of additional new business. The appointee will demonstrate considerable experience of the engineering design and delivery of bioprocess engineering projects, be comfortable as a senior level representative of the business both with clients and at external events, be experienced in technology transfer & scale-up and contribute to the company’s overall strategy and direction. With a strongly analytical and detail-minded approach, the appointee will be an effective leader, able to initiate and implement complicated project plans, who thrives on developing strong teamwork and can demonstrate continuous performance improvement along with strong professional and personal integrity.
Candidates, ideally qualified to beyond degree level in a relevant Engineering discipline, will be self-starters who can demonstrate drive, tenacity and strong “presence” coupled with exemplary communication & presentation skills, thought leadership and a desire to build strong relationships both internally and externally. Listening, influencing and negotiating will all be key competencies along with the ability to manage positive change and deliver performance improvement. An enthusiastic outlook, strong IT & financial awareness and a track record of strategic design and engaging others to deliver exceptional results will all be required to grasp this opportunity and to make a real difference to this business as success is delivered.
