Teacher of Biology – A Level Focus

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a high-performing, selective grammar school in Outer London for a full-time Teacher of Biology to join their outstanding science faculty from August 2025.

The Role
This is a permanent position teaching GCSE and A-Level Biology. The successful candidate will join a well-established and high-achieving department, with a strong emphasis on academic excellence and stretch.

Biology is one of the most popular A-Level subjects at the school. A large number of students progress to Russell Group universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, to study Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, and related fields.

Key Requirements



Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)

Strong subject knowledge in Biology

*

Experience teaching Biology at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5

*

A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning

*

Ability to inspire, engage and stretch academically motivated students

*

Suitable for experienced teachers or early career teachers (ECTs)
