PharmacyTechnician – Springfield Hospital – BankHours

TheRole

Weare looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team who arecommitted to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes in asupported environment, where you will be valued for your skills andexpertise. You will be responsible for the delivery of the higheststandards of care &services.

As a key member ofthe department, you will support the Pharmacy Manager in theprovision of pharmacy services including ordering, stock controland preparation of drugs and medicines. This will include providingadvice to patients and clinical staff on pharmaceutical products(within the limits of yourrole).

You will be supportingthe pharmacist to ensure that Inpatient Prescription Record Chartsare checked regularly to ensure treatment is appropriate, bothclinical and financially, that the patient has sufficient suppliesand carrying out medicines reconciliation as needed (dailyrequirement).

Providingstraightforward advice to patients/carers and clinical staff onpharmaceutical products. Ensuring that the agreed standards ofpatient care and confidentiality are maintained in accordance withRamsay policies. Adhering to GPhC standards of conduct, ethics andperformance. Ordering and stock control of medication for theHospital.

Whatyou willbring

  • NVQ3,BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science of equivalentlevel

  • Member of the GeneralPharmaceutical Council(GPhC)

  • At least 4 GCSEs(A-C), including English maths and science or equivalentqualifications

  • Sound writtenand verbal communicationskills

  • Proven ability towork effectively in a team environment and independently asrequired

  • Flexibility andadaptability to meet the changing needs of thebusiness

  • DemonstratedCustomer Serviceskills

  • Demonstrated Computerskills

It would also bedesirable for the application to have experience working in ahospitalenvironment.
