Job Title: Locum Oncology Pharmacist

Banding: 8a

Location: Sussex

Start: February 2025

Duration: Until May 2025

Rate: £34–£37

Working hours: Monday & Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 or 09:00 – 17:30

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Locum Oncology Pharmacist to join our team in Sussex. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional passionate about providing exceptional pharmaceutical care in an oncology setting. You will work in a dynamic environment, ensuring the safe and effective use of chemotherapy and other medications for our patients.

Responsibilities include:

Screening chemotherapy prescriptions and checking chemotherapy preparations.

Providing oncology ward cover.

Managing medication inventories.

Educating patients on medication use.

Participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Conducting medication reviews and identifying potential drug interactions.

Providing expert advice on drug therapy.

Collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring pharmacy operational efficiency during shifts.

Qualifications and Experience:

Registered Pharmacist with GPHC.

Strong skills in hospital pharmacy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to high-quality patient care.

Prior cancer experience is not necessary.
