Banding: Band 6
Location: Worthing
Start Date: 30th of September 2024
Duration: Full-time, Until the 22nd of December 2024
Rate: £34 – £39 per hour
Working hours: 08:30PM – 17:00PM
About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 8A Aseptic Technician to support our Oncology Pharmacy service. The successful candidate will provide expert clinical knowledge to a wide variety of healthcare professionals. This role requires knowledge and use of the Aria electronic prescribing system. While onsite presence is preferred, remote work can be discussed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
You will support the Oncology Pharmacy service. You will provide expert clinical knowledge to healthcare professionals. You will utilize the Aria electronic prescribing system. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for aseptic preparation. You will assist in the supervision, training, and support of aseptic preparation activities. You will maintain accurate records and logs in accordance with local procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience/Knowledge: NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.
Previous experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting.
Significant experience in aseptic preparation and handling of cytotoxic products.
Proficiency in the use of the Aria electronic prescribing system.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
Good organizational skills to manage workload and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
