We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locum MMT Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Barnsley. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, providing essential support to the pharmacy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, contributing to patient care plans, and supporting the overall healthcare team. Experience in developing EPMA (Electronic Prescribing) systems is essential.
Responsibilities include:
Managing the dispensing of medications
Conducting medication reviews
Providing clinical advice to healthcare professionals and patients
Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Participating in ward rounds
Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines
Overseeing the safe storage and handling of pharmaceuticals
Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Providing training and support to junior staff
Playing a key role in developing and implementing EPMA systems
Qualifications and Experience:
Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
Experience in developing EPMA systems
Recent ward experience in an acute NHS hospital
Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacotherapy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Experience in medication reviews and clinical advice
Knowledge of regulatory standards and pharmacy best practices
