Are you a Band 6 ACT/MMT Pharmacy Technician OR Pharmacist looking for a rewarding locum role in Southend, Essex? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility in a private service!
Job Title: ACT/MMT Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist - Band 6
Location: Southend, Essex - Private Service
Duration: Until December 2025
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (30-minute lunch). Part-time may be considered.
Start Date: ASAP, June 2025
End Date: December 2025
Rate of Pay: 160 - 230 per day DOE

What You'll Be Doing: Join our client's team in a privately run hospital service and play a key role in supporting both dispensary and ward-based operations. In this role, you will:
carry out accuracy checking and dispensary support duties
assist in ward-based tasks, supporting patient medication needs
collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and clinical teams
ensure high standards of pharmaceutical care
maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Requirements & Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need:
a valid registration with the GPhC (as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist)
prior experience in ward-based hospital pharmacy preferred
ACT/MMT qualification if applying as a Pharmacy Technician
strong communication and teamwork skills
the ability to adapt to both dispensary and clinical duties
Working Hours & Contract Duration: This is a flexible, long-term locum position requiring availability Monday to Friday. Part-time hours may be considered. The contract runs until December 2025, with potential for further extension based on service need.
