We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Dorset. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing essential pharmaceutical services within a prison setting. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to inmates, contributing to their overall health and well-being.
Responsibilities:
Dispensing medications
Managing pharmaceutical stock
Maintaining accurate records
Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of patient care
Providing advice and support to inmates regarding their medications, ensuring compliance with prescribed treatments
Conducting medication reviews
Participating in health promotion activities within the prison
Qualifications and Experience:
NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a prison or similar environment
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Flexibility and adaptability
