Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday
Rate: £34 – £39 per hour
The Pharmacy team at Pulse is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 8a Senior Specialist Oncology Pharmacist to join our team in Harrow. This is a temporary position for 3 months, with a Monday to Friday shift pattern. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing pharmaceutical services to Oncology and Haematology patients, ensuring the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
You will deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services to Oncology/Haematology patients. You will utilize clinical audit or research to enhance practice and service delivery. You will provide expert knowledge in Cancer chemotherapy (Oncology and/or Haematology) therapeutics. You will recommend and communicate therapeutic options effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting. You will manage clinical, operational, and governance tasks efficiently. You will identify and manage risks associated with pharmaceutical care.
Requirements:
Education and Qualifications: GPhC Registered.
1 year pre-registration training.
Master’s degree in pharmacy (MPharm) accredited by the GPhC.
Prior NHS hospital experience, particularly in clinical ward areas.
Significant post-registration training and experience in all aspects of hospital pharmacy practice.
Substantive clinical experience in providing pharmaceutical services to Oncology/Haematology patients.
Demonstrable experience in using clinical audit or research to improve practice/service.
In-depth knowledge of Cancer chemotherapy (Oncology and/or Haematology) therapeutics.
Proven ability to recommend and communicate therapeutic options both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in using computer systems, including Excel and Word.
Excellent personal organization and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Strong knowledge of medicines and their applications.
