Hobson Prior is seeking an Associate Director, Medical Engagement Excellence to join a dynamic team in Uxbridge on a 12-month contract.

About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Medical Affairs professional to join a global biopharmaceutical organization as part of the Medical Engagement Excellence (MedEngageX) team. This team plays a vital role in ensuring healthcare professionals are educated on the appropriate use of medicines and are equipped to improve patient outcomes.

The successful candidate will act as a strategic leader within the Medical matrix organization, translating global medical vision into effective field execution across therapeutic areas, with a primary focus on Hematology/Cell Therapy and potential expansion into solid tumor oncology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Contribute to global medical strategic planning via AIMS teams, Launch teams, and other matrix forums.
  • Represent the voice of Field Medical (FM) teams in the development of medical strategies and plans.
  • Drive pullthrough of medical strategies and initiatives relevant to FM objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Worldwide (WW) Medical and WW Medical Learning teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of scientific narratives and Patient Outcome Imperatives (POIs).
  • Collaborate on the development of Medical Communication Topics (MCTs) and insight documentation.
  • Lead global Fast Insight Review (FIRe) teams to optimize insight quality and reporting.

Execution & Delivery

  • Ensure WW Medical Strategy is reflected in FM communications and training plans.
  • Coordinate congress support, including session coverage and booth activities.
  • Act as key contact for FM study support with Global Clinical Operations, HEOR, and Medical Evidence Generation teams.
  • Ensure compliance with GMA SOPs, GCP, ICH, and internal policies.

Value Demonstration & Communication

  • Align with stakeholders on external engagement strategy and success metrics.
  • Define and demonstrate the value of medical engagement and communication.
  • Facilitate best practice sharing across therapeutic areas and markets.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Medical or scientific background (MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent).
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech company.
  • Proven expertise in Hematology/Oncology (preferred).
  • Strong strategic thinking and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence across a matrixed, multicultural organization.
  • Familiarity with tools and technologies for live and remote medical training.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%)
