About the Role

As our Area Sales Manager you will develop territory sales plans together with the sales channels and lead selling activities to ensure sales and margin targets are achieved. In this role you will find new prospects, showcase and explain our products to customers and handle the quotations. This role will suit someone who is goal-focused and an effective communicator.

Main responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients to establish pricing agreements and terms in alignment with Company procedures.
  • Understand cultural & technical specifics of the territories under responsibility.
  • Recognize opportunities for growth and introduce improvements to enhance outcomes
  • Support sales channels in identifying new clients and strengthening existing relationships
  • Update and maintain CRM records with quotes and activities.
  • Tailor solutions to meet client needs, assess commercial contracts, and prepare detailed quotations and terms.
  • Assess business opportunities and develop financial justifications to support client investment decisions.
  • Create strategic plans that drive growth while establishing clear and effective processes.
  • Prepare reports containing sales results and communicate these with management as required.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Technical engineering studies or long-term industry experience.
  • Experience in Technical Sales
  • Experience selling premium products
  • Experience overseeing and guiding sales processes
  • Basic knowledge in product marketing
  • Experience working towards KPI’s and managing CRM systems
  • Skilled in fostering agreements and navigating challenges through collaboration and autonomy
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in client-facing sales roles.
  • Effective and adaptable communicator
  • Ability to travel to customer sites (UK-wide) 4 days per week.
