Business Unit: Med Comms

Location: Manchester or Macclesfield, Hybrid

The Opportunity


We are currently looking for an Account Manager to lead and motivate our internal project teams to deliver projects across the full range of medical communications services with an emphasis on financial and project management.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and motivate the team and provide regular feedback on performance both directly and to line managers
  • Facilitate effective teamwork to deliver projects on time, to budget and to client satisfaction
  • Take responsibility for team performance and client relationships, including account team resourcing requirements
  • Provide professional, high-quality commercial perspective to allocated accounts
  • Interpret and challenge client briefs and brief the internal teams accordingly
  • Prepare for, attend and actively participate in client meetings, including on-site support according to the needs of the account
  • Contribute to the development and review of account plans and forecasts
  • Liaise with internal teams to produce accurate project specifications and budget estimates
  • Drive projects through to completion, including reconciliation invoicing, and the monitoring of aged debt in a timely manner
  • Understand and meet account KPIs, highlighting any concerns/issues to senior client services colleagues in a timely manner
  • Be confident in communicating across the organisation, including up managing to the Med Comms Leadership Team and mentoring Account Executives and Account Coordinators
  • Identify opportunities for growth, identify potential limitations and propose appropriate course of action



About You


  • 3 year’s Med Comms experience
  • Strong understanding of the industry including product lifecycle, the range of med comms deliverables and some therapy area expertise
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • A proactive approach to learning and staying informed about industry trends
  • Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative and dynamic environment
  • Strong decision-making ability
  • Leadership experience
  • Strategic thinker
  • Ability to work autonomously, proactivity and collaboratively
  • Excellent financial acumen
  • A team player


Please note, this role may require domestic and international travel.
