Job Description

As anAccount Director, you will provide strategic guidance in developing and leading tactical integrated marketing plans and other complex projects for clients. In this role you will be an extension of the client team and as the day-to-day relationship lead, addressing concerns while identifying incremental opportunities. You will be also accountable for counseling clients on effective strategy based on research and best practices to meet their objectives.

In this position, you will also bring a strong understanding of medical communications, including experience working with scientific content and managing initiatives targeted at healthcare professionals.

As an AD you will own the book of business and business growth efforts. Internally, you organize, grow, and develop the team, while externally ensuring the health of the client relationship within and beyond the assigned brand team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in vision setting for the client business, ensuring the broader team executes it through to delivery of work
  • Establish cross-collaboration with internal teams and agency partners,to ensure medical accuracy, regulatory alignment
  • Externally, ensure health in the client relationship in and beyond the assigned brand team
  • Provide clients with research, analytical metrics, and strategic insight to develop and presents effective solutions
  • Oversee the delivery and financial impact on budget, and brand target goals and objectives with the client
  • Lead MedComms projects such as advisory boards, medical symposia, internal training tools, and development of slide decks or publications
  • Provide strategic leadership in developing and leading strategic and tactical interactive marketing plans and other complex projects for clients.
  • Counsel clients on effective marketing strategy based on research and best practices to meet the clients’ needs and objectives.
  • Ultimately accountable to the senior level client, provides advice and maintains relationships addressing concerns or needs and develops additional opportunities.
  • Oversee and lead the development of the entire campaign and project plans.
  • Research, develop and collaborate with other Account Directors, agency departments and partners to continuously develop the integrated solutions offering from EVERSANA INTOUCH.

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Strong and applied understanding of strategic planning, brand planning, pharmaceutical product life cycle management, digital development, and processes
  • Native/ fluent English a must, additional languages welcome
  • Demonstrate accuracy in reviewing junior team-developed scopes for GAD/VP approval
  • Demonstrate accountability for financial tracking and management of client budgets and communicating with client teams and senior leadership
  • Own and lead monthly budget reconciliation and forecasting efforts
  • Able to collaborate and effectively manage at all levels and functions internally, and externally with clients and agency partners
  • Demonstrate leadership and mentoring skills, including assisting GAD with junior account staff team development
  • Able to create strategic decks and lead/facilitate presentations
  • Big picture thinker with an understanding of client business and long-term goals
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree ideally in communication/marketing, economy, biology/pharmacy and/or another scientific pathway
  • Approximately 8-12 years of related industry experience: client-side brand team, consultative, advertising agency and/or pharmaceutical experience
  • Expertise in digital, media and technology marketing and advertising
  • Experience working on global or regional MedComms accounts across multiple therapy areas
  • Proven results with managing creative concept to delivery
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills (guiding a large team and multiple clients); Responsible for account staff team development.
