Planet Pharma are partnered with a leading Pharmaceutical client who is seeking to hire a Statistical Science Lead (Director level) to support drug development programs and individual studies within assigned projects. This role will oversee the delivery of all required statistical support and outputs, either by leading a team of statisticians or by contributing directly as a member of the study team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures QSEG deliverables are high-quality and consistent across studies.
  • Provides strategic statistical input for early or less complex assets, including study design and advanced analysis methods.
  • Leads or supports biomarker and PK/PD strategies, including large or complex studies and marketed products.
  • Contributes to regulatory and payer submissions, offering clear statistical interpretations of results.
  • Communicates key data and findings to stakeholders in a clear and effective way.
  • Ensures relevant data sources (e.g., biomarkers, external data, integrated databases) are available and used effectively for decision-making, submissions, or marketing.
  • May support due diligence by reviewing data and advising the company.
  • Develops, explains, and validates complex statistical methods.


Key Requirements:

  • PhD or M.S in Biostatistics, Statistics or related scientific field
  • 6+ years (9+ years for MS) of experience in applying statistical methods in biomedical research, Pharma, CRO, Academia
  • Advanced and broad knowledge of statistical methods, along with understanding of industry practices related to the statistical analysis of clinical and biomarker data
  • Knowledge and skills in SAS required, knowledge of R preferred.
  • In-depth familiarity with processes and procedures in data management and programming
  • Experience working in an international environment
