My client, a global pharmaceutical company with a goal of contributing to healthcare innovation and environmental sustainability. They are focused on improving people's quality of life by preventing, alleviating, and curing diseases. They have a wide pharmaceutical portfolio, specialising in some of the following areas: oncology, neuroscience, and rare diseases.

There is an opportunity for a Pharmaceutical Medical Events Project Manager to join their Global Medical, Medical Communications, Capabilities and Education Department on an initial 6-month contract. (extensions possible)

Your new role

As the Medical Events Project Manager, you will lead and orchestrate Global Medical Events execution, including Medical Congresses, coordinating global (including US) and local cross-functional teams to transform strategic objectives into successful and compliant execution, while adhering to budgetary guidelines and business ethics.

This is a very hands-on role. You will be the primary point of contact for all logistics, planning and delivery of medical events as well as budget follow -up and contracts, i.e. creating and managing PO's and managing service contracts etc.

What you'll need to succeed

- You must be an experienced Events project manager with wide-ranging experience in Pharmaceutical Medical Event Management, incorporating both strategic event planning and hands-on event delivery. You understand pharma priorities at every stage - before, during, and after events and translate complex workflows into clear, effective standard operating procedures that keep everything running smoothly and aligned with business goals

- You must have experience of Pharmaceutical Global Medical Congresses, ideally with some experience within the US market.

- You must have expert standalone Pharmaceutical Medical Events experience.

- Have the ability to apply emerging knowledge and trends; build strong relationships; contribute to expertise within and beyond the assigned area

- You can balance pharmaceutical regulatory compliance and legal review processes with business objectives, navigating and resolving potential roadblocks without compromising project momentum.

- Hands-on working experience, knowledge, and understanding of both the conventional and pharmaceutical industries, as well as business practices that support best-in-class pharmaceutical medical event planning management and execution within the pharmaceutical industry.
