Finance Manager (Controllership)

  • 12 month contract
  • Holborn, Central London (Hybrid-Working)
  • £425 to £450 per day (Via Umbrella)
    The Opportunity:
    This role is involved in all areas of operational finance and requires multi-tasking and prioritising across a broad range of responsibilities and managing multiple stakeholders.
    The role is based in Holborn and has responsibilities over our client’s x4 UK legal entities which are the UK trading, UK research, International regulatory and International headquarters entities.
    This role reports to the Controllership Lead and is responsible for supporting delivery of Finance objectives including Accounting and Reporting (Internal and Statutory), Tax, Audit (Internal and External), Process Governance (Procure to Pay; Order to Cash) and Process Improvement, for the four legal entities.
    Skills and Experience:
  • BA or BSc degree in Business or Accounting, preferably with a professional accounting qualification (ACA or equivalent )
  • Minimum 5 years commercial financial experience across all areas of Finance in particular, Controllership, FSS, Tax and Treasury
  • Experience of UK taxation (particularly VAT / Corporate Tax) or general tax compliance highly desired.
  • A good knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system and proficiency with Microsoft tools (Advanced Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills).
  • Background in supporting the preparation of statutory reporting an internal/external Audits
  • A history of working in a highly regulated industry is very desirable (banking, pharmaceutical, etc.)
