Biologics Account Manager

Territory:North Central, (Hull, Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire)

Introduction to role

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the healthcare ecosystem? As a Biologics Account Manager, you'll be at the forefront of generating clinical demand for our Respiratory Biologics brands with key accounts. Your role will involve identifying business opportunities, presenting value propositions that align with stakeholder needs, and recommending solutions to drive and develop business. You'll build strategic relationships with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and collaborate effectively with cross-functional R&I field teams to enhance access to biologics in accordance with the account plan.

Accountabilities

In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for delivering sales targets for allocated brands and demonstrating exemplary account management and operational excellence. You'll execute and contribute to the development of business plans, identify potential barriers to prescribing, and work with the National Biologics Business Lead and relevant stakeholders to implement aligned action plans. You'll lead formulary adoption and blueteq access for brands, maintain high levels of clinical knowledge, deliver high-quality sales interactions, and ensure compliance with AZ Governance Framework. Additionally, you'll manage budgets within specified limits and ensure homecare utilization for brand support.

Essential Skills/Experience

- Educated to degree level or equivalent

- Full driving licence

- ABPI qualification

- Significant recent Secondary care sales experience with a sound knowledge of account management

- Track record of engaging key stakeholders in complex clinical environments, e.g., mid and senior level healthcare professionals, key accounts and the medical community

- Proven track record in influencing the stakeholder decision-making process in an ecosystem with multiple influential players / decision makers, with proven track record of creating value in complex DMU

- Proven demonstration of successful working in complex cross functional teams

- Business management, commercial acumen and financially analytical & conversant.

- Demonstrable ability to negotiate at business to business level.

Desirable Skills/Experience

- Business/commercial related degree

- Wellard’s diploma or equivalent

- Significant Pharmaceutical sales experience in:

- Respiratory Biologics products

- High-Cost Specialist Medicines (specialised commissioning)

- Secondary Care Respiratory

- Biologics (other therapeutic areas)

- Current knowledge and experience of AZ designated territory and customers

- Experience of influencing successfully in a complex organisation

- Proven track record of launching secondary care medicine/worked in an environment with rapidly shifting clinical and treatment paradigms.
