Talentmark are recruiting for a Bid Leader (Bid Manager/Tender Manager/Contracts Manager) to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 12 months.

Salary:

£280 to £300 per day PAYE (inside IR35)

Bid Leader Role:

Lead the end-to-end bid lifecycle for large-scale, complex submissions within a regulated healthcare environment.

Drive bid strategy during the pre-tender phase, working with cross-functional teams to define winning themes and competitive positioning.

Manage the development, coordination, and submission of high-quality bids, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time.

Engage with regional leadership teams to influence pipeline strategy and support bid/no-bid decision making.

Ensure governance, compliance, and adherence to internal brand and quality standards across all proposals.

Lead win/loss reviews to capture insights and continuously improve bid performance.

Champion best practice aligned to APMP standards, including improving bid tools, processes, and mentoring junior team members.Your Background:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in bid management, ideally within healthcare or a regulated industry.

Proven track record of leading complex, high-value bid processes and drafting technical proposals.

Strong understanding of public procurement frameworks, legislation, and compliance requirements.

Solid project management capability within a bid environment, including risk management and resource planning.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

APMP certification is preferred but not essential.Company:

Location:

This role is based at our clients site in Burgess Hill, with a hybrid working model (2–3 days on site). Flexibility is available for strong candidates, including less frequent office attendance if based further afield.
