Hales Group are proud to be working with a well-established, worldwide known client of ours. We are assisting them in finding a Warehouse Supervisor to join their well-established team.
 
As the Warehouse Supervisor you are responsible for delivering day to day operational excellence within the warehouse team, and is also responsible for ensuring the costs, internal metrics, safety and customer delivery measures as agreed with the Operations Manager are met in accordance with the company’s requirements and standards.
 
Reporting to: Operations Manager- Logisitcs
 
Main duties and responsibilities:

Supervise the daily running of the Goods In, warehousing, distribution operations.
Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods.
Improve warehouse efficiency and productivity and provide solutions to be agreed with Operations Manager.
Managing targets (KPIs) as set by Operations Manager.
Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, Compliance and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team.
Accountable for ensuring company operating metrics within the warehouse are delivered.
Assist Operations Manager to implement continuous improvement processes.
Accurate receipt and storage of all goods in compliance with GDP requirements.
Support the JDA system management system, processes, controls and reporting.
Support the Operations Manager, to ensure full compliance with GDP regulations and documented procedures in regard to wholesale activities of pharmaceutical products.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
Ensure company policy and processes are implemented and adhered to.
Training new staff members on the quality manual, GDP practices and relevant SOP’s.  
Other Responsibilities:

Help drive a zero-tolerance mindset for deviation from the use of quality processes to ensure customer deliverables are met fully.
Report regularly to Operations Manager.
On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) day to day supervision.
Deputise for Operations Manager Absence/Holidays when required on specific tasks.
Create and report upon a suite of KPI’s.
Ensure regular performance reviews within the warehouse team.
Coach, manage and develop warehouse team, senior operatives to optimise performance and meet targets and deadlines.  
Experience and skills required:

Minimum 3 years + operational supervisory experience, in a multi-functional responsibility role with knowledge of Warehouse, logistics, despatch, goods in operations.
Experience of working in a target driven role within a high-volume warehouse, logistics, supply chain environment, with a proven ability to optimise team performance and development with excellent decision-making skills and an attention to detail.
Experience of managing SLA’s.
Resource management and driving continuous improvement.
Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
Ability to work in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision.
Minimum of 3 years’ + experience using a Warehouse Management System/JDA.
Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques.  
Desirable:

A warehouse or distribution qualification would be advantageous.
Forklift Truck licence may be required.
Able to represent and act autonomously on behalf of the department and make sound business decisions.
