Due to our growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Vice President, Business Development based in the UK to join Precision AQ International.

The Vice President, Business Development is responsible for generating fresh new business and playing a hunter role in acquiring new clients. This role focuses on identifying high-value opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The VP will work in close collaboration with the business development team, manage client opportunities, and promote the company's capabilities through various lead generation activities. This position reports to the SVP Strategic Business Development.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

Develop and execute annual strategic business plans to drive new revenue and sales growth.
Engage with life science clients to create and cultivate new relationships.
Actively manage the client sales cycle, including prospecting, solution development, and successful transition to implementation.
Promote company capabilities through conferences, trade shows, webinars, etc.

Client Relationship Management

Establish and maintain relationships with clients, especially at the senior executive level.
Leverage these relationships to generate new business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
Manage client opportunities from prospecting to successful transition to the respective practice areas.

Market Research and Analysis

Work with the Sales Operations team to inform and direct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities.
Contribute to pricing and competitive positioning for services.
Track competitors and analyse competitive threats.

Team Efforts

Work directly with the business development, client services, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of new business proposals and delivery of pitch presentations.

Other Responsibilities

Travel up to 50% as required.
Represent the company at conferences and trade shows.
Undertake any duties as may be required from time to time that can reasonably be regarded as within the remit of the post.
Aware of and conform to legal requirements in all activities, both internal and external. Implicit in this is that all managers and employees conform to the appropriate standards in terms of Data.
Protection, Health and Safety and Information Security requirements but also to the highest standards of business ethics.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or related field.
12+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account-facing roles.
Successful track record in driving revenue growth and achieving business results for international and global pharmaceutical accounts.
Expertise in consultative, insight-focused account-based selling approach.
Exceptional presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
