**Job Title:** VAT Compliance Specialist

**Job Description:**

Proclinical is seeking a VAT Compliance Specialist to join a dynamic team focused on managing VAT reporting and compliance requirements across multiple European and international markets. In this role, you will ensure timely and accurate VAT submissions, provide guidance on VAT-related queries, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of local VAT legislation. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while contributing to process improvements and risk management strategies.


**Responsibilities:**

- Prepare VAT returns and other indirect tax reports (e.g., sales listings, purchase listings, Intrastat, SAF-T) using Excel or tax preparation tools.

- Coordinate internal approvals for VAT submissions, follow up on payment requests, and archive documentation post-submission.

- Reconcile VAT General Ledger accounts and address any discrepancies or open items.

- Align reported VAT sales with GL sales and resolve any inconsistencies.

- Address VAT compliance queries from internal stakeholders.

- Assist in preparing VAT requirement documents and support the implementation of tax technology solutions.

- Monitor changes in VAT legislation and ensure compliance with new regulations.

- Maintain VAT codes and tables within the accounting system.

- Support VAT audits and liaise with tax authorities as needed.

- Contribute to standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.


**Key Skills and Requirements:**

- Experience in VAT compliance within a multinational tax environment.

- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SAP or Oracle is advantageous.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously.

- Effective communication skills to engage with diverse teams and senior management.

- Team-oriented mindset with problem-solving capabilities.

- Fluency in English.
