The Undergraduate Laboratory R&D scientist Placement for Cytiva is responsible for testing support for the development and innovation of new Laboratory products

This position is part of the R&D Discovery located in Harbourgate, Portsmouth, UK and will be onsite. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:
• Executing protocols/testing in Biochemistry (protein analysis), Molecular Biology (DNA / RNA extraction), Microbiology (cell cultures),…, to characterise Cytiva Life Science products
• Troubleshooting protocols as necessary
• Generating and interpreting data to assign tasks for projects
• Writing technical reports and presentations
• Compliance with H&S requirements

Who you are:
Undergraduate (= 1 year work experience): Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a minimum of a BSc in Biochemistry (or related Scientific discipline)

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
N/A

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• Biochemistry

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is£20,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
