The trust comprises of both UHCW Coventry site and the hospital of St. Cross.

The Pharmacy Technician role is becoming increasingly sought after and varied as medication becomes more sophisticated and technology evolves. Career opportunities for a pharmacy technician post qualification include; medicines management roles, aseptic unit, quality control, training and education, information technology, supplies and procurement, clinical trials, medicines information services, homecare services and operational management.

Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.

This Is An Exciting Training Opportunity To Join The UHCW Pharmacy Department Combining On The Job Training And Day Release At a Chosen Training Provider In Order To Achieve The Following Qualification

Level 3 Diploma in the principles and practice for Pharmacy Technicians.

The above qualification is achieved over a 2 year period and will enable you to register as a qualified Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Full training will be provided primarily at UHCW, with some rotations taking place at our St. Cross Rugby site.

Our NHS trust boasts a great reputation for patient care, teaching and innovation, providing an exciting and highly satisfying place to work. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our reputable pharmacy team as Apprentice Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians.

This is a 2 year full time fixed term contract working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday including participation in weekend working, bank holiday working, and late nights. Apprenticeship funding rules apply.

The salary for this position is 70 % of a band 4 Technician in the first year rising to 75% of a band 4 Technician in the second year. Please note that this is in conjunction with Apprentice and Age related national minimum wage where differences may apply.
