Our client is Europe’s leading independent Ophthalmic company, and they have an excellent opportunity for an individual with sales experience within optics to join their team.

The role involves managing and growing the optometry business in the defined territory, mainly through optometrists. The successful candidate will drive sales excellence across the product portfolio.

Optometry is a key contributor to the overall pharmaceutical business, and you will look after the dry eye portfolio, including sector leading brands along with managing the growth of the eyelid hygiene portfolio. All of the products have a history of strong growth over the past 5 years and are projected to continue to grow in the future along with new product launches.

You will need to live on territory with good travel links into Central London.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven record of achieving sales success

  • Experience in working in optometry and/or pharmaceutical industries

  • Ability to present clinical data

  • Effectively analysing and utilising data

  • Positive, enthusiastic and energetic

  • Flexible "can do" attitude needed to thrive in a fast-growing company

  • Ability to take an account management approach to managing territory business.

  • Ability to manage the demands of a portfolio of products

  • Proven record of ability to work independently and take ownership and accountability of results

  • Full UK driving licence

    Desired:

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent

  • Optometry experience

  • ABPI qualified
