We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading client within the packaging industry, who is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Sales Manager to join their growing sales team. Covering Teesside and the wider Yorkshire region, this is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional with experience selling into industrial and manufacturing environments.
Initially focused on new business development, this role is expected to evolve into a Key Account Manager position as relationships are established and grown.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify, approach, and convert new business opportunities across the assigned territory.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers across food & beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, and other regulated sectors.

  • Promote a range of packaging products and solutions in line with customer requirements.

  • Deliver commercial support and guidance to ensure the best customer outcomes.

  • Coordinate with internal teams (customer service, logistics, planning) to ensure smooth order handling and aftersales care.

  • Prepare and monitor territory sales forecasts, account plans, and budgets.

  • Achieve agreed sales targets (volume and value), while identifying opportunities for growth within key accounts.

  • Maintain regular reporting on market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.

About You:


  • Proven track record in field sales or territory management within packaging, FMCG, printing, or a related industrial sector.

  • Experience selling into regulated manufacturing environments, such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, or chemicals.

  • Tenacious, with a proactive and self-driven approach to winning new business.

  • Commercially astute, with strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Organised, professional, and able to manage your time effectively across a large geographic area.

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider sales team.

  • Confident in using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CRM systems.
