Role Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager, to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Technical Program Management Function in a Data & Tech Org, this position will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of multiple complex technical projects. This role requires a strong blend of technical acumen, strategic thinking, and exceptional leadership skills. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, product management, and other key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
Lead and manage multiple technical projects from inception through delivery.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
Ensure alignment between program goals and overall business objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with engineering, product management, design, and other teams to drive project success.
Facilitate effective communication and coordination across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Address and resolve issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, leveraging deep understanding of relevant technologies and methodologies.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform program strategy and execution.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Proactively manage and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Management:
Engage with senior leadership and other stakeholders to provide updates on project(s) status and performance.
Gather and incorporate feedback to refine project goals and deliverables.
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies.
Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in project execution.
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience: Well established in technical project management or a similar role, with experience in a senior capacity.
Technical Skills: Proven experience managing complex technical projects. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and related technologies. Candidates who possess prior hands-on software development experience and a solid grasp of SDLC, along with proficiency in advanced analytics, data science, data engineering, machine learning, cloud infrastructure, and advertising and marketing technology concepts are preferred.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive results.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of successfully navigating challenges and delivering solutions.
Certifications: Candidates with PMP or similar project management certifications, CSM, PSM or similar Agile Scrum certifications, any cloud/technical certifications are highly desirable.
