Job Title: Senior Manager, Quality Control (QC)

Location:Petersfield, Hampshire, UK

We are seeking a Senior Manager for the QC Lab to lead daily operations, ensuring product quality and compliance with regulatory standards. The role includes driving continuous improvement, optimizing lab processes, and managing testing data and equipment in alignment with global quality strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • QC Lab Operations:Oversee raw material, mass, and finished goods testing; manage lab workflow, inventory, and documentation; liaise with suppliers, R&D, and other departments on test procedures and discrepancies.

  • Data Review & Release:Review and approve routine test data, including chromatograms and calculations; oversee release of materials and goods in SAP/LIMS.

  • Equipment Management:Manage equipment budget, purchases, installations, calibration, and maintenance.

  • Compliance & Continuous Improvement:Ensure adherence to GMPs and company policies; drive improvements based on lab KPIs; collaborate with other departments for ongoing quality improvements and regulatory compliance.

  • Training & Personnel Management:Align lab goals with company objectives; provide coaching and mentorship to QC lab staff; implement training programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 8 years of managerial experience in microbiology, analytical chemistry, or product evaluation labs, preferably in a global consumer goods or pharmaceutical company.

  • Strong background in cGMP lab management, SOP development, and regulatory compliance.

  • Proficiency in statistical data analysis and Microsoft Office Suite, with SAP and Electronic QMS experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and leadership skills to manage teams and drive quality initiatives.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data integrity and corrective actions.

  • Ability to guide cross-functional teams and suppliers through quality control processes.
