Our Center for Process Excellence team is on a mission to improve business outcomes and employee experiences by driving step-change improvements in critical enterprise processes, and the technology and analytics supporting these.

As a Sr Principal, Business Process Analyst (Software Development), you will be responsible for delivering step-change improvements in our software development processes. This will require you to understand our current state, define a future-state vision, and work collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team to implement the changes. The desired business outcome is to accelerate innovation by improving efficiency and effectiveness of teams engaged in software development. Success will require close collaboration with, and the ability to influence, colleagues across a global organization. This position is ideally suited for a self-starter that is comfortable in a dynamic environment, with experience in conceptual and analytical problem solving

Responsibilities

Analyze existing software development processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
Collaborate with engineering, product, and QA teams to capture requirements and map end- to- end development workflows
Develop and document standardized best practices, process flows, and SOPs for the software development lifecycle ( SDLC)
Recommend and implement process improvements to increase development velocity, code quality, and team collaboration
Supervise and measure KPIs related to development efficiency, such as cycle time, lead time, and deployment frequency
Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives like Agile retrospectives, root cause analyses, and process audits
Work closely with DevOps and tooling teams to streamline CI/ CD pipelines and automate manual workflows
Support Agile transformation by aligning teams with Scrum, Kanban, or other frameworks and tracking alignment
Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards for secure, maintainable, and scalable development
Act as a liaison between business partners and technical teams to align process improvements with strategic goals

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in business process analysis, with a focus on software development and IT operations
Deep understanding of software development methodologies ( Agile, Scrum, SAFe, DevOps, Waterfall)
Proven track record of leading large- scale process improvement initiatives in software engineering environments
Strong analytical and problem- solving skills, with experience using tools like BPMN for process mapping
Familiarity with software development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, and CI/ CD platforms
Experience working with cross- functional teams, including product management, engineering, QA, and DevOps
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, PMP, CBAP, or Agile ( e.g., SAFe Agilist, CSM) preferred
Strong business acumen and ability to align technical process improvements with organizational goals and KPIs
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
