A leading mission critical contractor is actively seeking a Fit Out biased Site Manager for a large data centre fit out package in East London. This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of London’s flagship data centre projects and join a company that is in a period of serious growth right across Europe.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing internal fit outs of data centres or commercial schemes from frame stage through to client handover, must have in depth knowledge of services and strong ability to work in a fast paced environment to ensure project is delivered to programme.

This contractor is best known for their delivery of quality mission critical infrastructure, particularly in the data centre and pharmaceutical industry and have built strong relationships with some of the industry’s biggest players, positioning them well to continue this growth.

salary £60000-£70000 DOE + package

Site Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Checking the quality of work as required

  • Working with and managing subcontractors involves keeping a daily diary of levels of work for each subcontractor

  • Managing setting out engineers and junior engineers/staff on site

  • Calculating and ordering of materials to the site

  • Planning work schedules

  • Liaising with Consultants, Project Manager, Quantity Surveyors and subcontractors

    Site Manager Key Requirements:

  • Relevant 3rd level qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management

  • Can also come from a trade background

  • Confident using Microsoft packages and AutoCAD

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Methodical and solutions focused

  • Able to work to tight deadlines

  • Strong organisation skills

  • Ability to manage and motivate personnel on site

  • Fit out experience essential
