Your Opportunity

The Analysis & Design practice at Robiquity includes the skillsets of Business Analysis and User-Centred Design. For this role, we are looking for an experienced Service Design Consultant with experience in a technology-led consulting environment.

As a Service Design Consultant at Robiquity your role is focused in two areas:

  • Project delivery– you will work with minimal supervision and as part of multi-disciplinary project teams to understand user types, needs and wants, and to assess how these are being met by existing products, services, and experiences. You will work collaboratively with developers and business analysts to generate concepts for potential solutions, leading in the creation of simple prototypes (e.g. wireframes or storyboards). You will then support the delivery of these solutions by championing user experience best practices and ways of working.
  • Practice contribution– you will work closely with the Practice Lead to establish Robiquity’s Experience Design capability. In addition you will proactively contribute to the Analysis & Design practice’s culture and development, suggesting and driving-forward improvement initiatives.

This is a billable role, where you will spend 60-80% of your time working on client projects.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have prior experience working as a Service Designer in digital consulting or technology-led environment.
  • Have additional skills in User Research and/or UX Design and experience working closely with Business Analysts and Technical Developers.
  • Be comfortable working with minimal supervision, taking a lead in establishing and managing client relationships, and championing the importance of user experience both internally and externally
  • Conduct robust and effective research and analysis activities, drawing from a range of user-centred design methods and tools, and presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Design and deliver highly-engaging, collaborative workshops with a variety of stakeholder types
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team of analysts, designers, and developers to uncover a range of challenges and opportunities, and to design, and prototype potential solutions that balance business and user requirements with technical feasibility.
  • Have excellent storytelling, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Awareness and/or experience of Automation, Low code, and AI technologies
  • Hold, have recently held, or be eligible to go through Security Clearance
  • Have experience working in-line with the Government Digital Service Standard

Activities you may be involved in include:

  • User persona generation and user story creation
  • Solution ideation and high-level design
  • Low-to-mid-fidelity prototyping
  • User research and user testing
  • Practice development initiatives
