Does fostering long-term, sustainable relationships with clients by identifying and addressing EHS risks and opportunities resonate with your personal and professional values?

Your new role

As our new Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant, you will be part of a friendly and fast-growing team providing environmental compliance and permitting support to national and multi-national clients. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with diverse clients across a wide range of sectors. No two projects are ever the same: whether it’s designing and delivering a legal compliance programme for a multinational data centre operator, implementing a Management System for a global pharmaceutical company, setting out environmental design criteria and permitting for a low-carbon plastics recycling plant, or ensuring a food manufacturing site is decommissioned and demolished to the satisfaction of the regulator, we help clients achieve their plans for expansion and change whilst applying a high level of environmental control. As part of the Ramboll family, we are integral to the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects both at home and abroad, and increasingly have the opportunity to contribute to the transition towards Net-Zero across a range of energy-intensive industries.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  1. Prepare, conduct and lead environmental, health & safety compliance audits.
  2. Manage multi-site audit programmes, including multi-national programmes working closely with our global Ramboll teams.
  3. Collaborate with subject matter experts within Ramboll to assess EHS impacts arising from proposed developments in relation to compliance and permitting requirements.
  4. Understand clients’ needs and support the development of winning proposals.
  5. Function as Project Manager for permitting and compliance projects set up within Ramboll’s Project Model system to deliver to clients on time and on budget.
  6. Identify and succinctly communicate EHS risks and opportunities to support our clients and build sustainable relationships.
  7. Keep abreast of the latest developments, regulations, and standards in environmental compliance, and effectively communicate these to the wider compliance team.
  8. Pro-actively contribute to and promote the ongoing technical and digital development of our compliance and permitting services.
