Job Description:Job overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated senior specialist paediatric clinical pharmacist to join our friendly and supportive intensive care team (encompassing cardiac, paediatric and neonatal intensive care) on a fixed term basis.

This is a pivotal clinical role, providing advanced pharmaceutical care to critically ill children and is key to supporting the safe and effective use of medicines in a high pressure, high acuity environment.

Main duties of the job

You will work closely with the intensive care consultants, nurses, and other allied health professionals to deliver direct patient care, influence therapeutic decisions, and lead on service development within the unit to optimise the prescribing, administration and usage of medicines within the intensive care speciality.

This post will include some late duty/weekend/bank holiday working.

To be eligible for this post, experience in delivering a clinical pharmacy service to paediatric intensive care patients is essential. You must hold a postgraduate diploma (or equivalent) in clinical pharmacy, possess excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate a clear commitment to patient safety.
