Develop suitable sample extraction methods for the analysis of non-clinical and clinical samples, and subsequently to pool (where required) and prepare such samples for analysis.  Take on wider departmental responsibilities, to include – equipment validation, software validation and management, SOP ownership. Calculate and QC check data. Review data obtained and prepare study updates and study data for discussion internally and for communication to the client/inclusion into reports. Supervise, mentor and/or train more junior members of staff, in laboratory procedures and study conduct. Assist in the development of new techniques. Other general laboratory tasks, as applicable.
