Role Overview

We are working with an exciting tech innovation consultancy, active across a number of core areas including pharma, food, health and tech to source a Senior Research Scientist who will take the lead on a number of digital projects. As a Senior Research Scientist, you will be a torchbearer for pioneering digital projects, steering a variety of programmes and implementations with finesse and a forward-thinking approach.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Senior Research Scientist (Digital Technologies) will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Lead digital projects with technical expertise, inspiring innovation within the technology team.

2. Analysing, interpreting and reporting results for project and client requirements (within agreed timescales and adhering to relevant quality standards.)

3. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring colleagues and staying abreast of technological and legislative advancements.

4. Engage with stakeholders to translate technical strategies into actionable plans, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards (eg. GMP, SHE, DI.)

5. Drive business growth through digital capabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the companys digital footprint.

Role Requirements

To be successful in your application to this Senior Research Scientist role, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.

2. Extensive experience in leading digital projects within a relevant sector (preferably in any areas of life sciences / engineering / energy)

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with digital technologies and their application in a commercial environment.

4. Knowledge / use of Python for ML Techniques / Modelling / Soft Sensors / Data Scripting / Automation / Databasing
