We have a unique opportunity to partner with an East Coast based start up biotech in their search for Senior Project Manager that will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of project development, ensuring timely and efficient progress from program initiation through pre-clinical development. We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Research, Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) and pre-clinical stage development of biologics, particularly antibodies.
This is a biotechnology company leveraging cutting-edge science and technology to identify and develop best-in-class biologics for a range of human diseases with high unmet needs. They identify opportunities not just to deliver great drugs, but also great companies. Once a program or set of programs discovered achieves significant progress, we enable their rapid advancement to the clinic through spinout companies.
Key Responsibilities
Program leads that guarantee scope, timelines and budget of portfolio programs. Establish the accurate tools for successful planning, initiation, tracking and completion of programs.
Lead and manage cross-functional project teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Guarantee on time communication and management of different CROs/ CDMOs through different stages of the program’s.
Identify and mitigate project risks, and implement contingency plans as needed with the cross functional project teams.
Guarantee the bridge between R&D operations and financial, legal and G&A activities (e.g. CDA/ MSA management; Budget review and tracking; Accruals review; Meetings management).
Guarantee fulfilment of R&D communication plan.
Lead communication and oversee alliance management with partners.
Prepare and present project updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Help achieve the strategic business goals of the organization.
Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
Education & Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
Strong background in Research, CMC and pre-clinical development of biologics, particularly antibodies.
Experience moving programs to the clinic preferred.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
