Senior Process Engineer


Are you a process engineering expert looking for your next big challenge in a highly regulated, cutting-edge environment?


We’re seeking aSenior Process Engineerto join our clients dynamic Process Engineering team in Hertfordshire. In this critical role, you’ll drive innovation, enhance operations, and lead technical projects that make a real difference to the business and the patients they serve.


What You’ll Do:

  • Lead cross-functional projects involving process improvement, technology transfer, and new product introductions.
  • Design and scale up complex lab-scale processes into efficient, commercial-scale operations.
  • Assess existing and new processes for quality, safety, compliance, and best practice.
  • Develop and review engineering documentation including URSs, P&IDs, mass/heat balances, and validation protocols.
  • Execute FATs, SATs, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and processes.
  • Investigate and resolve complex process issues and provide sustainable solutions.
  • Support site engineering standards and process safety systems (HAZOP, ATEX).


What You’ll Bring:

  • A BEng or MEng in Chemical Engineering (Chartered status desirable).
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of cGMP, ICH Q8, FDA, and EU regulatory expectations.
  • Proven experience in process design, validation, and commissioning in a highly regulated environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
