Senior Process Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to play a pivotal role in supporting and improving operations at a specialist manufacturing facility in Cheshire. In this role, you will act as technical authority, leading key projects, optimising complex processes and ensuring regulatory compliance across a unique and challenging chemical manufacturing environment.
Key Tasks:
Provide expert technical support, fault diagnosis and root cause analysis for plant processes.
Lead process improvements to enhance safety, quality, yield and throughput.
Lead major capital projects to develop and improve processes across the plant.
Collect, analyse and present data ( technical reports, presentations) to identify and resolve problems using Route Cause Analysis (RCA)
Develop deep technical knowledge of specialist processes such as fluid mixing, coating, crystal growth and film drying.
Drive automation and plant upgrades, identify new opportunities for efficiency and innovation.
Coach and mentor team members whilst supporting continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Leading risk assessments, HAZOPs and SHE compliance activities to maintain a safe and effective operation.
What we are looking for:
A degree in Chemical Engineering (Chartered status highly desirable).
Min 5-7 years experience of Process Engineering in a manufacturing environment, with a track record of delivering process improvements.
Experience of and / or qualifications in SHE e.g. NEBOSH, HAZOP, PED, Reliefs
Strong knowledge of process safety, regulatory compliance, and chemical plant operations.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information at all levels.
A proactive, collaborative mindset and the confidence to lead change.
